Soft Touch Protocols
for
Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies
Quick, simple touch techniques that safely release somatized trauma and increase neuroplasticity
In Ketamine Therapeutics, 25% of patients don't respond to its conventional protocols!
Doesn't that show a more comprehensive approach is needed for all
Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies?
Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies?
The answer: Use this science of body-mind connection to quickly and easily help your patients.
Dr. Peter Levine, a famous pioneer in trauma release, considers trauma a physical condition with psychological symptoms and approaches it from that perspective; BUT NOT DIRECTLY!
Dr. Bessel van der Kolk's famous book title sums it up: 'The Body Keeps the Score.'
‘Every thought, every feeling, if identified with, registers in the body.’ Nyanaponika Thera, a famous German Buddhist monk (1977). A personal mentor before and during my monkhood in SE Asia.
Mind and body lean up against and roll over each other. Therapeutic approaches that don’t work directly with both will only ever be partially successful at best, and slowly so.
Do you have patients with treatment-resistant conditions? The solution is in your hands!
The Soft Touch Protocols
Wholly appropriate as a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP); inviolably ethical direct contact.
The Soft Touch Protocols (STPs) are physically applied bioelectrical triggers that safely release trauma (always ask for permission to touch). Their unique, multiple mechanisms enhance neuroplasticity.
The STPs also provide therapeutically supportive direct human contact fully within ‘the duty of care.’ Although quite pleasurable, there is no room in them for misinterpretation of their therapeutic intention by a patient or ethical transgression by a therapist. The contact vectors disperse arousal and are antithetical to stimulation.
They facilitate entry into a flow state, allowing patients to process their issues quickly. The STPs support pendulation as nothing else can. Primarily silent tactile communication, they bring a patient present in a way that doesn’t interrupt a flow state but instead fortifies it.
The STPs instill an intriguing, mystical facet to physical awareness. They intrinsically crystalize mindfulness, the quality of being intently present. They deepen trust and confidence in the therapist during the medicine session.
The STPs neutralize unprofitable abreactions, and issues can resolve without requiring the patient's awareness of them. Working simultaneously on many levels to accomplish this, they are often the missing piece for helping treatment-resistant conditions.
The Soft Touch Protocols don't require therapists to work with the body in an intensive, hands-on way. They only need momentary presence, not strength.
Patients can take home the gentle breathing component to keep momentum with their sessions’ gains.

- They’re simple to learn and quick to use. No extra training in psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT) required to use them effectively.
- Used in their entirety, the three STPs take only eighteen minutes to apply, divided over the three stages of a psychedelic session: ascension, peak, and descension.
- In
some States, no special licensure is required. Any team member can become
proficient in their application.
- In other States, every professional licensed
to touch can swiftly add them to their repertoire.
- In Canada and elsewhere, no licensure is necessary.
...and patients love them!
Learning Outcomes
You will confidently:
Know all the theories underlying the Soft Touch Protocols. The General Theories video begins your journey into the Western and Eastern concepts underlying the STPs. All the videos are full of fascinating bites of theory.
Know how to guide the patient's attention using brief, simple suggestions during the Soft Touch Protocols. You will also learn why directing the patient’s attention like this is essential. This component derives from the STPs creator's profound meditation training as a yogi and fully ordained Buddhist monk in Asia (watch the video below).
Know the order in which to use the STPs and why this order is important. You will also learn at what points in the treatment it's best to apply the three STPs. As well, you will know how to use each STP individually or in pairs if using all three isn't suitable for your practice.
And then you will:
Be able to apply the Hot Towels STP on the lower legs and feet without skin contact, initiating multiple processes. You will know how to apply them over pantyhose, if required. You will also know what towels to use and how to easily prepare them before entering the treatment space.
Be able to open a patient's hands to further drain systemically held trauma. You will also know how the Hands STP initiates and/or maintains beneficial theta wave rates. That depends on if the Hot Towels STP was applied first.
Be able to apply the Head STP to drain chronic tension through the top of the head. You will know how to balance the brain’s hemispheres and strengthen the corpus callosum between them. You will also know the two- to three-part graded suggestion that keeps the drainage channels in the hands and feet open for 48 hours afterward.
Immediately deepen patients' trust in you because of the gratifying and unusual phenomena they experience.
Trauma locks
into the body as chronic tension beyond verbal resolution alone

*** Please note ***
This course was developed for use in legal psychedelic therapies. When the lessons were recorded, only ketamine therapies were legally permitted. Although the terminology used reflects this, the STPs are applicable across all psychedelic medicines. DMT therapies require a few modifications.
The Course Includes
Personal Instruction
Three forty-minute Zoom calls, one for each STP, ensures the quality of their applications. Up to four team members per call are allowed.
Online Live Exam
One forty-five-minute Zoom call for one student to demonstrate their competency in applying the three STPs. No testing on theory.
Completion Certificate
After successfully passing the exam, each student receives authorization to use the STPs and a certificate of completion.
Total time investment: It takes only 20 relaxed hours to become proficient at using them in a clinical setting. That includes ample time to review the videos and transcripts, as well as the three live lessons and the competency exam, which is also a lesson.
The STPs' creator
Brian Pack, LMT (Hawaii)
Brian is a multi-disciplinary manual therapist specializing in trauma release and chronic pain relief. A massage therapist since 1991, he is licensed as an LMT in the State of Hawaii. He has a thing for the tropics, warm oceans, and coconuts.
Meet Brian and learn about his unique education in therapeutic approaches in the 8-minute video below.

"I developed the STPs in 1991. I have used them as a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for trauma release many thousands of times. They always deliver relief."
